Dispatcher - Full-Time

We currently have a full-time dispatch team member opening. This is a new position. As a drayage service provider, on a typical day we dispatch more than 100 trucks in three western states. Work with hundreds of customers via email and phone and review dozens of documents. We are service driven and focused on providing the best client experience possible.
Job Summary
- Develop a strong relationship with Independent Contractors and fleet drivers
- Assist in scheduling drivers, and organizing the daily dispatch of all equipment
- Work cooperatively with customer service/sales to provide solutions for clients’ needs and resolve issues
- Manage customer and driver expectations to align with operational capabilities
- Respond to customers efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally
- Enters data into various systems accurately and efficiently
- Others duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
- Transportation/Trucking industry experience preferred.
- Ideal candidate will possess a “can-do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
- 2-3 years related experience
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office Suites.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and demands.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of Oregon and Washington area geography preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette capabilities
- Organizational & Time Management skills required.
- Self-motivated problem-solver with strong desire to meet customer needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
